    Shopify PPC agency

Shopify PPC needs product feed quality, margin-aware campaign decisions and clean ecommerce tracking. Clean Digital manages Google Shopping, Performance Max and paid social around the products that can profitably scale.

    Shopify PPC is product economics

ROAS only tells part of the story. Stock, margin, repeat purchase and product feed quality decide what should receive more spend.

    What Shopify PPC management covers

Store data, media buying and purchase measurement have to agree. We manage the connections between them as part of the account, because a campaign cannot make a sound budget decision from stale stock or unreliable order values.

    Catalogue and feed

We check how Shopify variants, product IDs, prices, availability, images and landing URLs reach Merchant Center and paid social catalogues. Feed rules and custom labels then make the catalogue usable for campaign decisions.

    Campaign structure

Shopping and Performance Max budgets are split where product margin, stock depth, seasonality or customer demand require different targets. Search and paid social cover demand that product ads cannot reach alone.

    Purchase measurement

Purchase value, currency and transaction IDs are tested from product page to Shopify checkout. Reporting separates channel revenue, product performance, new customers and returning demand where the available data supports it.

From Shopify product data to a budget decision

Product data should stay traceable from the store to the advertising report. That gives the team a clear route back to the source when a price is wrong, an item stops serving or a campaign result cannot be reconciled.

    1. 01

      Shopify catalogue

Variants, prices, stock, images, collections and product URLs start in the store.

    2. 02

      Product data

The Google and Meta data paths are checked for stale values, missing attributes and inconsistent IDs.

    3. 03

      Campaign groups

Products are grouped by margin, stock, category, season or another commercial signal that can guide spend.

    4. 04

      Revenue decisions

Spend moves according to purchase data, product economics and availability instead of one blended store ROAS.

The questions the account should answer

A weekly report should show what changed and which commercial input caused it. One blended revenue figure is not enough for catalogue and budget management.

    01
Which products can take more spend?
Margin, stock cover, conversion rate, average order value and recent demand by product group.
    02
Where is the catalogue losing eligible traffic?
Merchant Center diagnostics, item approval, missing identifiers, title quality and landing page consistency.
    03
    Is Performance Max adding demand?
Brand exclusions, search category evidence, product-level results and a separate view of brand and non-brand activity.
    04
Are paid social sales measured correctly?
Meta Pixel and Conversions API coverage, event deduplication, catalogue IDs and Shopify purchase values.
    05
Are repeat customers masking acquisition cost?
New customer reporting, returning customer revenue and first-order economics where Shopify data is available.

Shopify purchase tracking we can use

Shopify customer events, platform tags and server-side events need to represent the same order. We test the purchase path and document the differences between Shopify, GA4 and advertising-platform totals before those values influence bidding.

    Review our ecommerce measurement work
    • The purchase event fires once with the correct transaction ID, value and currency
    • Google Ads and GA4 receive values that reconcile with Shopify orders closely enough for bidding and reporting
    • Meta browser and server events use matching event IDs where both are active
    • Refunds, cancellations, discounts and shipping treatment are understood before ROAS is used as a profit measure
    • Product and variant IDs match the identifiers used in Merchant Center and paid social catalogues

How we take over a Shopify PPC account

Changes follow an agreed order. Tracking and product data come before material bidding changes, then the work moves into campaign structure and controlled tests.

    1. 01

      Audit the store and accounts

We review Shopify product data, Merchant Center, Google Ads, paid social, analytics and the purchase path together. The output identifies measurement gaps, catalogue issues and avoidable spend.

    2. 02

      Repair data before bidding harder

Product identifiers, feed attributes, purchase events and catalogue matching are corrected first. This gives the platforms reliable products and values to optimise against.

    3. 03

      Restructure around product economics

Campaigns, listing groups and product sets are aligned with stock, margin, seasonality and business priorities. Targets remain separate where the economics differ.

    4. 04

      Test and move budget

Search terms, feed titles, product groups, creative and landing pages are tested. Budget changes follow measured sales and commercial constraints.

A good fit for this service

    • Paid media is a material source of Shopify revenue and the account needs active senior management.
    • The team can share product, stock, order and margin information needed for commercial decisions.
    • Shopping, Performance Max or paid social results are difficult to reconcile with Shopify.
    • Seasonal ranges, promotions or changing stock make one campaign target unsuitable for the full catalogue.

    What needs resolving first

An early store may need product-market, fulfilment or conversion-rate work before managed media can produce a reliable return. We will say this during the review if the advertising account is not the first constraint.

The work also requires access to the relevant Shopify, Merchant Center, analytics and advertising accounts. We do not make material changes from screenshots or a partial reporting export.
